We are glad to see you on the Family Alliance website and we hope that you will find what you are looking for

This is what we do:

  • Welcome all interested in mental health

We are a diverse group that includes people of various identities and backgrounds holding different political and religious views. We may disagree on politics, religion, or other matters, but we don’t bring these disagreements to our conversations about mental health.

  • Provide mutual support

We help you to connect with other families for mutual support and education.

  • Share personal experiences

We share what worked and what did not for us and our loved ones and give tips for choosing mental health providers and navigating the mental health system based on our personal experiences.

  • Foster dialogue

We promote two-way conversations between family members and their loved ones who are

  • diagnosed with mental illness

  • going through an emotional/mental health crisis

  • having unusual experiences.

  • Fight stigma and discrimination

  • Share evidence-based information

We share information about evidence-based treatment methods and give tips about reading and understanding medical literature based on our personal experiences.
